Our model is now ready for coordination! It's time to check it using either predefined rules in Solibri or Search Sets in Navisworks.

Just like before, we will split the explanation into two parts—one for Solibri and one for Navisworks.

1. Solibri - Running model check

For the sake of the presentation I use model from previous step.

  1. In Solibri, we go to the Checking section and open the rules we defined in the previous step.

  1. In the Checking tab, we press the Check model button and wait for Solibri to complete the model analysis.

Note: If you get such window → ignore it, click Check Anyway.

  1. After checking, in the Results panel, we received automatically grouped issues, which the program considered as clashes. Let’s look at a rule called:

When we look at Results tab, here we gather all clashes between various elements of our Mechanical model and Various components of Architectural model.

In this example, we got 75 ventilation collisions with Curtain Walls, 23 with Roof and so on. (see picture below). A number of clashes are presented in square brackets [].
